I had a small celebration on my balcony.
This is to meeting many sweet people
on my blog and to my friends and family
who have been there behind me all the way,
I don't have the words to express my thanks.

夏の夕暮れ Summer dusk

ゆっくりと静かに

日が暮れようとしています


そして明日も

みんなが穏やかな気持ちで

いられますように

そのキツツキは一番高い木を選んだようです

あたりを見回していました

誰かを捜しているよう


生意気な女の子に見えるけれど

心細いのかしら




The woodpecker seemed to chose the highest tree.

Looking about

as if trying to find someone.


Appearing like a cheeky little miss

she seemed to be lonely.

気温２８℃

今日 森はお日様の香りがしました

葉っぱのサワサワっという触れ合う音が

波の音に聴こえました


The temperature was 28 ℃.

Today I smelled the sun in the forest.

The rustling of the leaves

sounded like the rolling waves.

わずかな収穫 A little harvest

大事に食したいと思っています


こんな経験から物を大切にする事を

学ぶのかも知れません



I want to eat them with care.


People may learn to cherish things

from this experience.

短い休日も終わってしまいました

バケーションに出かけます

飛行機で約一時間半

あっ, でも車で行きます

なので約７時間かかる予定です

それでは明日.....

I'm leaving on vacation.

It takes about an hour and a half by plane.

Oh, but we are going by car.

So it will take about 7 hours.

More tomorrow.....

野なかの鐘の音 Bells in the middle of a field

いくつものベルがぶら下がっている紫色のお花

野にぴったり合っているように思うんです

リンリンと楽しいベルを鳴り響かせ

雨や風の時にも

虫や動物たちを励ましているようで





The purple flower with a lot of hanging bells.

I think it fits the field well.

The joyful ringing seems to encourage

the insects and animals

through the wind and rain.

おしゃまな... Precocious...

私 カーディナルの 女の子です

私　可愛いでしょ〜?

朱色のくちばし　朱色のヘアー羽飾り

頭をかしげて 聞いているようです

I'm a female Cardinal.

Do you think I'm pretty?

I have a vermillion beak and a plume in my headdress.

She cocks her head and seems to be asking:

雨上がりの一枚の写真 A picture after the rain

窓の外を眺めながら このトマトの色は

雨に引き立つんだなあっていうことが

よくわかりました

私が小さいころ

このトマトと同じ色の傘を持っていました

As I was looking out of the window

I realized that this tomato's color

stood out in the rain.

I had an umbrella that was the same color

as this tomato when I was small.

写真は千の言葉より価値がある...?A picture is worth a thousand words...?

これに触れると痛いです

“ 触らないで下さい ! ”のサインを

掲げる必要がある場合

一緒にこの写真を使ってみてはどうでしょう

より迫真性があって....　そう思うんだけど 笑)

how about using this picture on it.

It's more realistic .... I guess. ; )

午後７時 池のほとりで 7 pm at the pond's edge

一羽のマガモが 羽のなかに
頭をうずめて寝ようとしていました.

突然 胸の下から
小さなキャラメルカラーのパフが出てきました
１つ..２つ..３つ..そして他にも 　計8羽

子ガモたちはまだ遊びたりないようでした.

A mallard buried her head in her feathers
as if she were ready to sleep.

Suddenly out from under her bosom came
caramel colored little powder puffs
1.. 2.. 3.. and then several others. A total of 8.

The ducklings didn't seem ready for playtime to end.

光を求めて In search of light

どうして

この木はそんなに曲がっているの

それでも太陽の光を見つけて

空に向かって伸びているのがわかるから

嬉しいけれど





How come

this tree is so bent ?

Yet , I 'm happy to see that

it's finding the sunlight and

shooting up towards the sky.

植物園ではないんです Not a botanical garden

ここは森の中

驚きの美しさで

何もなかった少し前から

楽園に変わっていました




Here the forest

is changed into a paradise

with surprising beauty

from nothing a short time ago.

モントリオールの夏 Summer in Montreal

今日の気温26℃ 爽やかな風

本当に夏を感じます

これから インターナショナル

モントリオール ジャズフェスティバルへ

出かけてきます。


Today it is 26℃ with a gentle breeze.

I really feel it's summer.

This evening

I will go to the International Montreal Jazz festival.

その正体は？ What are they?

何だかよくわかりませんが

緑の葉の間から ちらちらっと輝いていました

もっと近くで見てみる.....

本当は遠くからでも

ワイルドラズベリーとわかっていました 笑）

ちょっと味見を !



Something or other

glimmered through the green.

I took a closer look.....

Actually I knew they were

wild raspberries even from a far ; )

I would taste some !

初めての人との触れ合い？ First human contact ?

細い小径の上に 幼い小鳥がいました

驚いて何をしていいのか
分からないようでした

一番近くの木へ飛び上がって
私を見ないようにしていました

まるで人間がするように

A young bird was on a narrow path.

He was surprised
and didn't know what to do.

He flew up to the nearest tree
and he avoided looking at me.

A humanlike characteristic.

水辺のある風景 A waterside scene

私はサラサラっという自然の音が好きです

　木の葉の音

　風の音

　水の音

すべての感覚を和らげてくれるから



I like the sound of nature's chatter.

　The rustling of the leaves.

　The whisper of the wind.

　The murmur of the river.

They soothe all my senses.

ワイルドブラックベリー Wild blackberries

この時期
森に入ると楽しい事が
たくさん待ち受けています

ブラックベリーが
“ 食べてもいいよ ” と声を
掛けてくれているようです（笑）



This time of year
as you go into the forest
there is a lot of fun waiting.

Blackberries
seem to call to me.
“ I'm ripe ” ;)

モッキンバード(マネシツグミ) ? Northern Mockingbird ?

モッキンバードに見えますが...
確かではありません

彼らは葉のない高い枝を好み
他の鳥や動物、機械音、車のアラームの
真似をするんです

私も音をだして彼を試してみるべきだったわ

He looks like a Mockingbird...
I'm not sure.

They like the highest leafless branch
and imitate sounds such as other birds,
animals,mechanical sounds and car alarms.

I should have given him a test
by making sounds.

癒し・森の中のお花畑 Healing・A flower garden in the forest

たまに無邪気になるのって

いいような気がします


たとえイメージするだけでも...

こんな自然のお花畑で遊んでいるような


At times I feel it's good for

one to return to innocence.


Even if it's just imagining...

playing in a wild flower garden such as this one.

元気はつらつ Vivacity

このハイビスカスは一年の半分は外で
残りは室内で過ごしています

時折 冬の間でもお花を咲かせてくれるんです

それでもハイビスカスは夏空がピッタリ

海風を想像しながら揺れているのかしら


This hibiscus spends half of the year outside
and the other inside.

Occasionally it flowers even during the winter.

Still, it suits the summer sky.

Perhaps it's swaying as it thinks of the sea breeze.

虹 Rainbow

今日は祝日です　良いお天気でした

突然夕方に 雨と雷

その後まもなく虹が現れました

なぜか それが幸せな気分にしてくれました

小さな事ですが...

Today was a holiday. It was a nice day.

Suddenly this evening, rain and thunder.

Shortly afterward this rainbow appeared.

Somehow, It made me happy.

Though it was a small thing...
