先月プランターの中でこの苗を見付けました

そして この缶に植え替えました

どうしてそこに発芽したのかな？？？


間違いないわ

それはリスが埋めた宝物なんだわ




I found the seedling in my planter last month.

And I transplanted it to this can.

Why was it growing there ? ? ?


No doubt !

It was the squirrel who buried his treasure.

私がビックリしたわ！ I was surprised !

リス君！

そんなにビックリしなくてもいいんじやない

今 プランターに何か埋めたでしょ〜？

クッキー？

おひげにクズがくっついているわよ

For some reason

this place is very popular.

I will not knock on their door　

and I will just pass by quickly.

それでも可愛い... It's still cute...

ハ〜イ！... と甘い声で

呼んでいるような気がしました

でも誘惑に負けてはいけません

毒があるかも知れませんから

A sweet voice seems to be calling.

夏の一日 A day in summer

車で走行中　青空の下

白いふぁ~ふぁ~の雲を

追いかけているような

そんな感じがしました



As I was driving

I felt as if I was chasing

the white fluffy clouds

under the blue sky.

フォトジェニック？ Photogenic？

カエルが水音をたてずにスイスイと滑るように

こちらへ向かって泳いできました

そしてカメラを見つめました


カメラ 好きなのかしら


The frog glided in the water without even making  

a sound of a splash as it swam up this direction,

and he looked at my camera.


I wonder if he likes the camera.

飛ぶ宝石 Flying Jewel

斑な木漏れ日のなかで

美しい生き物に出会いました

“ 黒く輝く宝石のような羽根 "

見た目どうりの名前です


I came across a stunning creature

in the dappled sunlight through the trees.

An “ Ebony Jewelwing ”

as the name suggests.

朝のフレッシュな顔 The fresh face of morning

以前この場所は

クローバーのじゅうたんで覆われていました

今 黄色のお花が盛んに咲いています

お花が季節の移り変わりを知らせてくれています



There used to be

a carpet of clovers covering this expanse.

Now yellow flowers are flourishing in it's place.

They tell me the cycle of the seasons.

つなわたり Ropewalking

慎重に葉の上を渡っているところだから

息を止めてね〜！






I'm going to walk across the blade cautiously,

so please hold your breath !

カナダの夏の休日シーン Summer holiday scene in Canada

雨が多く低温だった今年の夏

今日は強い日差しで 34℃

ありがたく思えます

ここの冬は長く寒いので


After getting a lot of rain and

cool temperatures this summer.

Today, a strong sun and 34 ℃.

We appreciate it.

As the winters are long and cold.

宝石草 Jewelweed

“ 触れないでね ” という意味の

別名もあります

触れられると実が弾けて

種子がとびだすので...(笑)

なかに沢山のキラキラの宝石が

詰まっていそう




Or the “ Touch-me-not ”.

Because the plant's seed pods

pop out when touched... ; )

They seem to be full of brilliant jewels.

朝６時.. 飛び起きました 6AM.. jumped out of bed

未だかつて聞いた事がないガーガーと
太く響き渡る鳴き声が聞こえてきました

バルコニーに出てみました　リスです

なぜ怒っているのかわかりませんでしたが
しばらく叫んで去っていきました

・・・やれやれ！

A deep sonorous squack
such as one I've never heard before.

I went out on the balcony. It was a squirrel.

I didn't know why he was angry
but he left after screaming for a while.

・・・ At last !

真夏のクールスポット A cool spot in midsummer

太陽がギラギラと光り

森の外は暑そうです


小川が空の色を

映してくれました




The sun seems to be

hot and glaring outside of the forest.


A narrow stream reflected

the color of the sky.

何に見えますか？ What do you see ?

私のことエンジェルだと思うでしょ？

ほら、エンジェルの羽と一緒だし

気付いてた？




Do you think I am an angel ?

See, I have wings the same as an angel's.

葉っぱに形をかえて

見張っているのね


自然は地球の宝ものだから



Disguised as a leaf,


a cute watchman of the forest


is keeping an eye on


Nature: The treasure of the earth.

小さな流木だけど... A small piece of driftwood...

長い旅路 ゆっくり流れにまかせていこう


同じく長い旅をする鳥たちに


ここで一休みしてもらうためにも



Letting the flow slowly determine it's long voyage


by giving a place of rest to the birds


who are also on lengthy journeys.

野原に咲くクイーン・アンズ・レース Queen Anne's lace in the field

ワイルドキャロットという名前でも知られています

人参の祖先にあたります

アロマオイルになると、ほのかな土のような香りで

避暑地 Summer retreat

静かな湖のほとりで

４つの切り株が

トン トン トン トン と

楽しいリズムを刻んでいました

at the edge of the calm lake.
